Fall frolicking
Tonic and I went to hike at Sterling Lake today, near Tuxedo Park, NY. There were lots of ticks to avoid, chipmunks to catch, deer poo to sniff and roll in, and now we are home tired!

Our New Enterprise
Now that the election is over and we can stop campaigning, we've decided to devote our considerable energy to private enterprise. We've created a business called "Lick 'Em". We'll clean your plates for you so you don't have to. It saves on precious water resources, saves you money on soap, and it's fun for us! You can drop your plates and pots by here or we'll visit you. Book us today!

Nap Time
Six weeks after being re-united with my son Tonic, things have gotten into a smooth rhythm. He pushes me out the way when he's passing by, but when I open my mouth he knows his place. He's got some panic issues he's working through - evidenced by the tee-tee he leaves when our dads leave the apartment - but he'll get past that.
Tonic has taken to the barn too. He's really likes Ethan, the German Shepard, more than the other Jacks at the barn. But he really likes his fresh air, as do I.
We're spend a good bit of the day curled up sleeping. Tonic likes goose down duvets as much as I do. Like Mother, like Son.

Jumpin' Jacks
My son Tonic most recently lived at Wild Rose Jack Russell Terriers in Wedgefield, SC. I thought you might like to see this video of some of my other kinfolk at Wild Rose. You'll see one of my daughters, a niece and a granddaughter. Guess which dog is named "Bounce."
Welcome Jack Smith
Our dear Jenn has done a very good thing by any measure - she invited Jack to come live with her. Jack (formerly known as Matty) is a 17-week-old brindle/black and white Boston Terrier. He got an eye infection and required surgery to remove said eye. His former family decided they no longer wanted him. Boo on them, but their loss is Jenn's gain. He's a very lovely pup and Jenn will make a fine mother. Let's all give Jenn a shout out and say welcome, Jack Smith!

Welcome Tonic
Please welcome my son Tonic. He came to live with me on Sunday. His full name is Long Creek Tonic and he was born in Tobaccoville, NC on 17 January 2002. Most recently he's been living with a cool lady named Cheryl at her kennel called Wild Rose Jack Russell Terriers in Wedgefield, SC: http://wildrosejrts.com/index.html
Cheryl retired Tonic and very kindly re-homed him with us here in New York. He seems excited to see me after all this time and I'm doing everything I can to make him feel at home here in the city.

Spring Break in Florida
In April my two dads and I went to visit my grandparents, Harriet Ann and Carlisle, at their horse farm called Shady Oaks Stable in Brooksville, Florida. It's in central Florida in the horse country. I'm quite the huntress and killer.
I stalked (and caught) a skank - but one of my dads made me cough it up (though I did bite off the tail.) I also killed a garden snake when we left for the airport. I had blood all over me. Here I am patrolling the house perimeter, checking for lizards and such.
My dads also took me to Honeymoon Island near Clearwater. They have a pet beach You're supposed to be on your leash but I'm pretty good. I never wander far - so my dads let me off the leash while I went for a dip. It was too wavy for me.

About Me
My full name is Fox Run Chat. But everyone calls me Chat. Or Chitty. Or Chit-Chat. Or Chicken. Or Le Chit.
I was born 23 December 1998 and I'm a Jack Russell Terrier. I spent the first seven-and-a-half years of my life at Long Creek Farms: http://www.longcreekjrt.com/
I worked hard at Long Creek, giving birth to a wonderful family. Then I was re-homed by my former owner Becky and I now live with two guys in Chelsea, in New York City. I traded my bed of cedar chips for Frette sheets and a down duvet. When I go with one of my dads to his job at Ogilvy, I drink out of a martini glass.
